Daniel founded MMD to apply enterprise-level FM thinking to the sector that needs it most — schools and community organisations that carry the same responsibilities as large estates but have never had the professional support to match.
As an Engineering Manager at the University of Surrey, Daniel managed a large directly employed maintenance team, ran CAFM systems, oversaw PPM and reactive works and managed statutory compliance across a major university estate. This operational background — understanding what it takes to run an estate properly from the inside — informs everything MMD delivers.
As Director of IVR Electrical, Daniel led complex electrical contracting projects in the UK for world renowned global clients and multiple educational establishments at all sizes. As Critical FM Operations Manager, he operated within a data centre and critical FM environment, managing PPMs, directly employed operatives and specialist contractor networks to the highest standards of building reliability. Daniel has a proven track record delivering demanding electrical and engineering projects for major organisations across the public and private sectors, including educational establishments and critical national infrastructure.
Daniel's extensive electrical qualifications and knowledge means he can independently inspect, test and certify electrical installations as well as offer direct industry knowledge — This combines deep technical expertise with practical FM leadership, a capability most FM consultants do not possess, and one that brings a different quality of electrical oversight to every client engagement.
